Medaka is a young girl from the One Piece OVA who stands out for wearing an oversized suit of armor and fighting the Ganzack Pirates with a naginata. Her father was enslaved by Ganzack and forced to work on building his base and ship, which sets up her determination to fight back.
Things get serious during Luffy and Ganzack's final showdown—Ganzack strikes her down, and Luffy thinks she's dead. That belief pushes him into a rage that lets him take Ganzack down for good.
