Petz is the oldest of the four sisters and serves as the dark counterpart to Sailor Jupiter, sharing similar wind-based powers. Named after the mineral petzite, she's characterized by a proud, ambitious personality willing to sacrifice others for her own advancement.
In the manga, Petz leads "Code003 Operation Re-new," releasing viruses across Tokyo. When Makoto falls victim to one and encounters her droid double, she transforms into Sailor Jupiter and fights Petz directly. Trapped in a tornado summoned through the Black Crystal, Jupiter seems doomed until Sailor Moon and Venus arrive and eliminate Petz with Moon Princess Halation—though Rubeus manages to kidnap Jupiter before vanishing.
The anime takes a different route with her character arc. Petz constantly butts heads with Calaveras, and she carries bitterness from a past romantic relationship that becomes a sore spot whenever Calaveras needles her about it. When Rubeus hands her a power-amplifying stick after the defections of Cooan and Berthier, she becomes nearly unstoppable against the Senshi—even turning on her own sisters. The twist comes when the Senshi destroy the stick and Rubeus reveals his actual plan: he never expected her to win. The stick's true purpose was to generate a massive time-vacuum as a trap for all of them.
Stripped of the stick's corrupting influence and genuinely remorseful, Petz attempts to sacrifice herself to stop the vortex, only to be stopped by her sisters. The Senshi ultimately destroy the vacuum, and both Petz and Calaveras are purified.
Later, Petz tends to a wounded Saphir—and it's revealed they were romantically involved, making him the source of her long-standing bitterness toward men. After Wiseman kills him, Petz senses his death and grieves deeply, finding comfort only in the memory of his smile.
