Saori picked up DJing in high school and developed solid technical skills through sheer dedication. A remix she heard from someone working at the club FROLIC inspired her to pursue it seriously, though her naturally pessimistic outlook kept her from actually committing to it even through university. When Rika basically forced her to join Merm4id, Saori finally decided she needed to get her head straight and stop holding herself back.
She's the responsible one of the group—the voice of reason when Rika and Marika start acting up, whether that's scolding them for spoiling Saki too much or just keeping things from spiraling entirely.
Before she met the band, Saori was pretty much a hardcore pessimist and a loner. Making friends didn't come naturally to her; she preferred doing everything solo. Even at part-time jobs, she had trouble clicking with coworkers and would end up quitting rather than forcing herself to stick it out. Meeting her bandmates seems to have genuinely shifted her perspective.
