Saya is a kunoichi from Sunagakure who teams up with Sana and Mamushi. She first appeared in Naruto Shippuden Episode 398.
Personality
Saya's got a massive ego. She's arrogant, sadistic, and treats her teammates like servants—they literally have to call her "Lady" and follow her orders without question. She's convinced she's superior to everyone around her and absolutely loses it if anyone suggests she could actually lose a fight. When that happens, she becomes almost hysterical and needs to make the person pay for the insult. Interestingly, she's surprisingly sentimental about her ninja puppet and anything she finds cute; she's even been known to disguise herself as her puppet for extended periods.
Abilities
Saya's a skilled puppeteer, but her technique is unconventional. Rather than using her small, simple doll as a direct weapon, she uses it to collect samples of her enemies' hair. Once she has that, she can link her mind to the target through her Puppet Imitation Technique and basically puppeteer them from a distance—similar to how the Yamanaka clan operates. She can also move through the ground, create sand dolls, and swap places with her puppet using the Body Replacement Technique.
Saya competed in the joint Chuunin Exams alongside her team.
