A young orphan with a passion for magic, he's fascinated by mystical forces that bleed in from other worlds. His real ambition is to master summoning—to actually pull creatures through from those alternate dimensions. He spends his time studying the theory and practice of interdimensional magic, convinced that understanding these cross-world energies is the key to making it happen.
He's essentially the younger incarnation of Aleister the Invoker, designed as a predecessor to that character. The card "Crowley, the Magistus of Grimoires" is the direct inspiration for his character concept—basically what he looked like before he grew into his full power.
