Nentou is the former leader of the Juunisen who faked his own death during a staged fight with Genshitenson about 500 years before the series begins. His real reason for leaving the Sennin world was to secretly hunt down Jyoka. He's one of the rare few who actually understands what the Houshin project is really about and knows Taikoubou's true secret.
He's incredibly versatile in combat—equally skilled with or without paopei, and capable of stopping even super paopei with his bare hands alone. Most people recognize him as someone with an unusually strong moral compass and power that puts him on par with heavy hitters like Dakki or Bunchuu. His most notable character trait might be his intense devotion to his half-sister, Ryuukitsu Koushu, something other characters frequently comment on.
FujiRyu actually recycled an earlier character design from the game "The Great Sennin World War" called Soushou and recolored it to create Nentou.
