A competitor in the 21st Tenka-ichi Budokai known for his absolutely revolting hygiene—he's never bathed or brushed his teeth in his entire life. His strategy is straightforward and disgusting: he weaponizes his stench, forcing opponents to cover their noses and leaving them vulnerable to his attacks. His fighting style matches his gimmick, relying on gross-out tactics like spitting and sweating directly on his opponents.
Bacterian nearly defeats Kuririn until Goku points out the obvious flaw in his approach: Kuririn doesn't have a nose, so he can't actually smell anything. Once reminded of this, Kuririn shakes off the psychological trick and dispatches him almost instantly.
The anime expands on his character, revealing he's homeless and living in a city dump. He also gets killed by Tambourine later on, though he's brought back to life courtesy of the Dragon Balls.
