A member of the notorious Daluma pirate guild, Kyo stands out as unusually honorable for someone in her line of work. She's famously at odds with Tarant Shank, despising his brutal and underhanded tactics. What makes her interesting is that she's willing to secretly team up with the Galaxy Police and Airi Masaki to sabotage Shank's schemes—partly out of principle, partly because she enjoys humiliating him in front of the other Daluma.
Her sense of justice showed itself clearly when Shank kidnapped the families of Ryoko Balta's crew, demanding Ryoko kill Seina Yamada in exchange. Kyo coordinated with Seiryo Tennan to create a distraction that let her spring the families loose, and she managed to recover a second-generation Jurai tree seed in the process.
She also became entangled with Seiryo himself. After he discovered that a random item in her home was an incredibly powerful good luck charm, she ended up as his second-in-command aboard the Unko. The two grew close over time and got engaged by the series finale.
