Shizuru is one of the main heroines in Rewrite. She's a first-year student—a year younger than protagonist Kotarou—and serves on the school's public morals committee, though her shy personality might seem at odds with the role. Her most distinctive feature is heterochromia: her left eye is blue, while her right eye is gold. She keeps the golden eye hidden behind an eyepatch, so most people never notice.
Despite being quiet and reserved, Shizuru communicates constantly through facial expressions, body language, and gestures. Kotarou has gotten good at reading her this way, and the two can have full conversations without her saying much of anything. It's become one of the more endearing dynamics of their relationship.
