Peridot is one of the original Jewelpets from Season 1—a yellow and green Papillon who represents dream fulfillment. She's got a butterfly-shaped hairclip and wears a yellow-green flower garland, which fits her cheerful personality perfectly. She first showed up in Episode 12 as the gajin (or leader) of everyone in Jewel Land.
What makes Peridot stand out is her bilingual English skills; she'll throw in English words naturally during conversation. She's upbeat, popular, and pretty much the face of the place. Along with Milky and Luna, she co-owns the Strawberry Cafe, which exists in both Jewel Land and on Earth.
In Jewelpet Tinkle, she becomes one of Halite's three assistant Jewelpets. Her real talent is her ability to peer into people's dreams—something she put to use when trying to figure out what Akari's actual dream even was. Obviously, her name comes straight from the peridot gemstone.
