Joker is Shin's right-hand man in the TV series, serving as the KING gang's staff officer and essentially Shin's eyes and ears. He's skilled in Nanto Shōten Ken and known for his illusionist tricks—throwing cards sharp enough to slice through stone are his go-to weapon. He's also got a trained hawk that can carry him to safety when things get hairy.
When Balcom insists he's killed Kenshiro, Joker isn't buying it. He heads to the battlefield to confirm and is shocked to find Kenshiro alive and unhurt. Joker challenges him to a final fight, but Kenshiro sees through his tactics and hits him with Hokuto Zankai Ken. Kenshiro offers to spare him on one condition: become his messenger to Shin. Joker refuses. He'd rather die than betray his boss that way.
