Palutena, the Goddess of Light and ruler of Angel Land, is best known as Pit's patron deity and older-sister figure. She's kind and benevolent—basically the opposite of her nemesis Medusa—but that doesn't mean she's all serious. Despite her divine status and mature appearance, she's got a genuinely playful, mischievous streak. She'll tease Pit relentlessly, throw him into dangerous situations just to mess with him, and loves using complicated vocabulary specifically to confuse him. She also has this habit of butchering common phrases in funny ways.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising, this lighter side really comes through. She and Pit have great chemistry, constantly bantering back and forth, and fans often note how genuinely fun their dynamic is. That said, she's not invincible—she got kidnapped and held captive by Medusa at one point and needed rescuing, which doesn't exactly fit the all-powerful goddess image.
She commands her own forces, Palutena's Army, and serves as the primary military leader of Angel Land.
