The Frog Hermit is an anime-exclusive character who makes his living performing with trained frogs—basically a one-man frog show for profit. He's got a serious grudge against Ranma Saotome, stemming from when Ranma knocked him into the Chiwanīchuan spring during a training session with his father Genma at Jusenkyo. Now he's cursed to turn into a frog whenever he's splashed with cold water, which understandably made him pretty bitter about the whole thing.
