Yumi's whole thing is flowers. She's an amateur gardener aiming to make it as a flower-themed idol, and it shows—practically every one of her stage costumes leans into floral designs, with the newer ones getting increasingly elaborate. She's almost always got flowers in her hair during performances, and it's become such a recognizable part of her image that nearly every card features her smiling, minus the New Year releases.
In the Theater skits, she comes across as genuinely sweet and plant-obsessed. She's close friends with Nana Abe, though she's gotten uncomfortably close to discovering Nana's real age on more than one occasion. She's shown some legit baking and sculpting skills too—she once pulled off a chocolate rose carving that impressed people. There's also the time she got Frederica Miyamoto's song stuck in her head while they were baking together. On the lighter side, she dressed up as a vampire for Halloween and jokingly threatened the Producer into handing over candy, though when he actually agreed to let her bite him, she got way too flustered to actually do it. He ended up just giving her a bag of sweets instead.
