Rampage is a former Autobot turned bitter enemy, best known for his deep grudge against his old faction and particularly against Hot Rod, whom he blames for abandoning him on the battlefield. He carries the scars—literal and otherwise—from that betrayal, and wears his Autobot insignia as a grim reminder of what he's lost. As a fighter, he's clever and resourceful, packing plenty of tricks that make him a serious threat in combat.
His partnership with the Mini-Con Hawk mirrors his own journey: Hawk also switched sides from the Autobots, choosing to follow Rampage into darkness rather than stay loyal to his former allies. The two have become inseparable, united by shared resentment and a willingness to embrace their role as villains.
