Gurkinn is an elderly man who shows up in Pokémon X and Y as Korrina's grandfather. He's got some serious family legacy going on—he's a direct descendant of the very first Trainer ever to pull off a Mega Evolution. That's a pretty big deal in his family, and it clearly shaped how he and Korrina both approach training.
