Raphtalia
A former slave under Naofumi Iwatani, and younger sister to Fohl. She was born with a hereditary curse that left her unable to see or walk, and doctors gave her only a few years to live. Naofumi saved her life by using an Yggrasil Medicine to cure the illness—though she remained blind afterward, she gained the ability to sense the ki and presence of those around her instead.
She's intensely devoted to Naofumi, viewing him as her savior. Fans often note that her feelings go beyond gratitude; she's clearly developed romantic feelings for him, which plays into her character arc throughout the series.
