Korrina runs the gym in Shalour City, and she crosses paths with Ash on his way there. She's obsessed with Mega Evolution—specifically trying to unlock it for her Lucario—so she ends up tagging along with Ash and the group to search for Mega Stones and figure out how to actually pull off the transformation. Her Key Stone came from Gurkinn, who handed it over at the Tower of Mastery.
One of her quirks is collecting footprints from every Pokémon she battles. She's got Pikachu's on that list too.
