He's got the physique to back up his role coaching the Judo Club, with a thick brown beard and sideburns that blend into his hair, though his hairline's receding noticeably. He's self-conscious about it, often asking his fiancée Michishita-sensei if his head looks too shiny.
On the surface, he's all gruff authority—the kind of strict presence that keeps even troublemakers like Naruko Yokoshima in line during school trips. But that tough exterior cracks around Michishita-sensei. He's got a softer, genuinely sweet side that emerges when they're together, and he gets embarrassed whenever anyone catches glimpses of it. He'll usually just cover it up with more bluster if he's called out.
