Nanako
A 20-year-old college student who's basically the only girl Shin-chan actually respects—and the only one who doesn't seem bothered by his usual antics. She's his crush, though it's pretty obvious from how he acts around her: he gets shy, blushes, and actually tries to behave himself, which is saying something.
They met by chance when Shin-chan got something stuck in his eye while walking around the neighborhood. Nanako, a total stranger at the time, helped him out, and somehow that random moment turned into an actual connection. They've stayed in touch since, with Nanako occasionally inviting him along to beach trips, skiing, that kind of thing.
She wants to become a kindergarten teacher, which honestly tracks given how she handles Shin-chan's weirdness with such patience.
