Mature is best known as a member of Iori's Team in The King of Fighters '96, though her loyalties lay elsewhere—she served Orochi as one of the Hakkesshu, alongside her partner Vice. She took orders from Leopold Goenitz, though she made little effort to hide her disdain for him.
Before the '96 tournament, Mature and Vice had been assigned to shadow Rugal Bernstein, who was dangerously close to tapping into Orochi's power. The two posed as his secretaries to keep tabs on him. After Rugal's death, Goenitz redirected them toward a new target: Iori Yagami. They were tasked with bringing him into the tournament, though their team didn't manage a victory.
Things went south when Kyo and Iori defeated Goenitz. Iori lost control, entering the Riot of the Blood, and killed both Mature and Vice in the chaos. That should've been the end of it—but fans often note that the two continue to linger around Iori as ghostly shadows, apparently sticking around just to mess with him and entertain themselves at his expense.
