Ken is a loyal follower of Mukuro who broke out of prison alongside him. He's got a distinctive scar running across his face—a lasting reminder of his time in the Estraneo Famiglia's hands. Like Mukuro and Chikusa, Ken was subjected to twisted experiments that gave him the ability to swap between different sets of teeth, each transformation granting him animal-based powers. When Mukuro killed their captors, Ken didn't hesitate to join him.
His "channels," as he calls them, let him tap into the abilities of various animals—wolves, lions, cheetahs, gorillas, even rhinoceruses. Each form boosts his agility, strength, and senses. He thinks of switching between them kind of like changing game cartridges. Despite these abilities, he's lost fights to both Yamamoto and Kyoya Hibari (who was injured at the time), and he's been used by Mukuro as a puppet during Mukuro's battle against Tsuna. None of that's shaken his devotion, though.
Ken was cellmates with Chikusa in prison and still calls him by the nickname "Kakipi." He makes no secret of his dislike for Chrome, frequently mocking and insulting her whenever he gets the chance. Eventually, Ken and the rest of Mukuro's crew were captured by Vendicare but managed to escape.
