Yagyuu
An enigmatic girl who literally falls into the story during episode 8, Yagyuu claims the family name as her own and becomes obsessed with Muneakira from the start. She addresses him as "Master" and acts extremely possessive, despite the fact that they've never actually sealed a Master Samurai contract through a kiss—the usual method in this world. This distinction matters to everyone except her.
Her arrival immediately causes friction. Sen and Yukimura grow intensely jealous of how forward Yagyuu is with Muneakira, and they tend to blame him for her more inappropriate behavior rather than holding her accountable. The dynamic becomes a running source of conflict.
Where Yagyuu really stands apart is her worldview: she interprets the bond between a General and their Samurai as functionally identical to a Master and Slave relationship. This philosophical stance divides the group. The other girls strongly object to this framing, leading to repeated clashes over what their partnerships actually mean and what Muneakira's role should be. It's less about romance and more about how they fundamentally see their obligations to each other.
