That chance friendship wound up giving him one of the 27 True Runes, the Soul Eater, which completely upended what his life was supposed to be.
The game itself never gives him an official first name, which fans have debated endlessly. Later adaptations filled in that blank differently: the 1999 light novel called him Tir, while the 2010 manga went with Louie.
