Xenovia shows up in Volume 3 as a Church operative sent to recover three stolen Excalibur swords alongside Irina. The two end up working with Issei's group to hunt down the fragments, though they agree to let Yuuto destroy one of the blades. When things get serious against Freed Sellzen and Valper Galilei, she reveals she's been carrying Durandal the whole time—and promptly uses it to wreck the fused Excalibur and take down Freed. After the dust settles following Kokabiel's defeat, she converts to become a Devil under Rias once she learns God is actually dead.
Initially, Xenovia came across as all business—quiet, serious, and only talking when it mattered. She kept her distance from things that weren't her problem. But while devoted to the Church, she was practical enough to accept help from dragons and definitely wanted to survive her missions intact. Everything changes after Volume 3, where she bonds hard with Asia and feels genuinely bad for calling her a witch before. Growing up Church-raised, though, she and Asia both lack basic life knowledge—like the time she casually brought a box of condoms to school without understanding what they were.
As a Knight, Xenovia moves at superhuman speeds, which paired with Durandal's destructive power makes her legitimately dangerous in a fight. She can channel Durandal's holy aura through other weapons too, which is why she sometimes uses Ascalon with Issei—partly because he's admittedly not great with a sword, but mostly because she can't fully control Durandal on her own yet.
