Tatenashi Sarashiki is a second-year student at IS Academy and serves as the Student Council President—a position she earned thanks to combat abilities that go well beyond what most cadets can manage. She's also Russia's IS Representative, piloting a third-generation machine called the Mysterious Lady.
She first shows up in Volume 5 of the light novel and makes her anime debut in Season 2, Episode 1. By that point, she's become roommates with Orimura Ichika, which fans note creates an interesting dynamic given her official standing at the academy.
