A high school freshman stuck working at Wagnaria because he basically has to—his dad's business tanked, and suddenly he's the one footing his own bills. He's not thrilled about any of it. The job itself isn't what gets to him so much as the people around him. His family's laid-back attitude drives him up the wall, and then there's Miyakoshi constantly trying to shove chocolate in his face, which somehow always blows up in the worst possible way. He's the type to get annoyed pretty easily, which makes working at a restaurant full of eccentric people all day kind of a nightmare. Still, he shows up and does the job, grudging as he might be about it.
