Chung comes from the Seiker Family, the protectors of Hamel, Senace's capital—which is why he's usually called Prince Seiker. He grew up training in combat, but his life took a dark turn when demons attacked Hamel. His father stood on the front lines to defend the city, only to be possessed and turned into a weapon against his own people. During the chaos, Chung was badly wounded trying to stop him.
Elsword's group pulled him out of the fighting and helped him recover, but by then most of Senace had already fallen under demon control. Once he was back on his feet, Chung made a tough call: he left Hamel to the Red Knights and decided to travel with Elsword instead. He swore he wouldn't use the Seiker name—going by just "Chung" instead—until he was strong enough to reclaim Hamel and retrieve the Water El from the demons. That's been his driving goal ever since.
