Haru lives on Akala Island and is a regular customer of Kiawe's milk delivery service. He'd been counting on a fresh batch of Moomoo Milk to bake a birthday cake for his mom, but when Satoshi and Kiawe got held up by Team Skull Grunts on their way over, the delivery fell through. Rather than make a fuss about it, Haru was willing to let it slide—as long as they made it up to him with a Pokémon battle. They agreed, and after Haru managed to pull off the cake anyway, Satoshi and Kiawe put on a show for him and his parents, with Pikachu taking on Kiawe's Turtonator. Everyone seemed happy with how things turned out.
