Gotou is an experimental composite Parasite created by Reiko, made up of several individual Parasites whose shapeshifting abilities have evolved to let them swap positions freely—each one can form different limbs depending on what's needed in the moment.
He's the smartest and most capable of the group, functioning as the composite's de facto leader. Since his entire body—head and all limbs—is made of Parasite cells rather than partially integrated into a human host like most others, Gotou is significantly faster, stronger, and more lethal than typical Parasites. He's also nearly impossible to kill. His name is a pun: "Gotou" plays on "go" (五), meaning five, hinting at his ability to control five Parasites. His counterpart in the same body, Miki (三木, lit. "three trees"), can only manage three.
