Athena's a singer and dancer who moonlights as a high school student—and an ESP-powered fighter. She trains under Chin Gentsai, a legendary Chinese boxer who helps her sharpen her psychic abilities as a Psycho Soldier.
Her dynamic with Sie Kensou, her fellow trainee, is complicated in that way that everyone notices but nobody talks about directly. He's got feelings for her that are pretty obvious, and Athena knows it. The two of them have this playful, charged tension that keeps things interesting between them.
