Michael captains the All-Starz and makes his debut in Episode 20 of Series 1, though he's barely visible—just a shadowed figure on screen. By Episode 22, his real personality shows: arrogant, cocky, and quick to bristle when anyone questions him (Judy and Emily learn this the hard way). At this point, he's convinced that science trumps everything else, that raw skill can't compete with it. That changes when Max demolishes him in Episode 28 with nothing but pure talent and determination, forcing Michael to finally accept that heart and skill matter just as much as theory.
G-Revolution brings a visual refresh—he's sporting long, straight blonde hair with bangs covering his right eye. He gets knocked out by Rick during the American leg of the Beyblade Championship, and the loss stings enough that he confronts Judy afterward with some bitterness: "Now you have your team, so I guess you don't need us any more." His relationship with Rick is rocky at best, though they eventually reach a point where they can at least coexist without constant friction.
Michael's 16 in the first season and 18 by the third.
His Beyblade changes over time: he starts with Trygle, which can pull off the Fast Ball Attack, Maximum Cannon Ball Flame Attack, and Talon Attack. In G-Revolution, it's upgraded to Trygle 2, featuring the Super Cannon Attack.
