Add comes from a line of Nasod researchers—his family's obsession with understanding the robotic race was basically inherited at birth. That fascination cost them everything: they were hunted down and killed for poking around in forbidden Nasod secrets, leaving Add enslaved by whoever was responsible.
He managed to escape, but luck wasn't fully on his side—he stumbled into an ancient library and got trapped there for years. The isolation messed with his head pretty badly, but it also gave him time to continue the family research obsessively. Eventually he engineered his own way out: a weapon called the Nasod Dynamo, which he used to make his exit before the whole place came down around him.
When Add finally hit the road looking for rare Nasod codes, he got a shock. The library had warped time itself, and he'd ended up centuries in the future—well after the Nasod race had already collapsed. His first instinct was to find a way back to his own era, but everything changed when he found evidence of Eve. That was enough to make him stop chasing the past.
