Shinichi's the kind of guy who genuinely prefers his own company—he's introverted and really values having peace and quiet to himself. Video games are pretty much his thing, whether he's grinding solo or teaming up with Hana. He does have a regular hangout buddy in Sakaki, though Hana's another story. Despite making it clear he'd rather be alone, Hana has this way of pulling him into hanging out anyway, which he'll grumble about but ends up doing regardless.
