She's got a pretty anxious disposition and admits to being lazy. At first glance, you might peg her as a total shut-in or someone not in the workforce, but she actually does make it to college to study regularly.
Her life gets more interesting when she develops feelings for Hana Shirosaki. This crush becomes the motivation for a pretty creative arrangement between them: Miyako bakes and makes sweets for Hana, and in return, Hana agrees to cosplay in outfits that Miyako designs.
