Go Ichimonji
Go's the hot-headed protagonist of Getter Robo Go, a kid with incredible physical strength and athleticism who honestly doesn't care much about anything—at least not at first. He's got a violent streak and comes across as pretty apathetic about life in general, but his reckless behavior eventually catches the eye of Colonel Hayato Jin. That's when things change: Jin recruits him into NISAR and makes him one of three pilots for Getter Robo Go.
He also shows up in the OVA Shin Getter Robo vs. Neo Getter Robo as the main character again, though that story only loosely follows the manga. His characterization stays pretty consistent—still headstrong and tough—except this time he's piloting Neo Getter-1 instead.
