Rear Admiral Yuri Kellerne commands a Zeon division operating in Europe and knows the Sahalin siblings from way back. He comes across as pretty rough around them—gruff, sometimes outright rude—but he's genuinely dedicated to his troops and runs an honorable operation. When the Federation overruns Odessa, Yuri gathers what's left of his forces and heads east toward Ginias's development base, figuring it's their best shot at getting back into space and out of the collapsing European theater.
