Tarte is Lugh's personal servant and one of his assassination assistants. She owes her life to him—literally. Abandoned by her own family when they couldn't afford to feed her, she nearly starved in the wilderness before Lugh saved her from a pack of wolves. After that, he told her he needed her, and she spent the next two years training to become an assassin worthy of working at his side.
The abandonment left scars. Her family had always called her useless and worthless, and those words stuck with her. But Lugh's belief in her changed everything.
Over time, that gratitude transformed into something deeper. She fell in love with him, and with encouragement from Dia and Lugh's mother, she eventually became one of his mistresses—though Lugh was hesitant at first, worried he was taking advantage of her complicated feelings for him.
In combat, Tarte proved herself a natural with the spear, combining weapon skills with magic in a way that earned her the nickname "The Lightning Quick Battle Maiden" after she saw real action. She hates when Lugh teases her about it.
