Florence is a resident of Calanthe Town who lives there with her husband Grey and their beloved Flabébé. She's best known for her appearance in the episode "To Find a Fairy Flower!"
Florence collapsed while gardening one day and ended up hospitalized at Calanthe Town Central Hospital. The separation hit Flabébé hard—the two had grown really close—so Flabébé took off to find her. While peering through the hospital window, a sudden gust of wind knocked Flabébé away, and her flower got destroyed by a passing car before Grey could save her. Despite Florence's physical recovery going well, she fell into a deep depression without her companion.
That's when Ash and his friends entered the picture. Grey ran into them after they'd already found Flabébé, who'd bonded with Bonnie and was riding in her hair. Once Grey explained how crucial Flabébé was to Florence and that she needed a new flower to survive, the group made it their mission to track down a rare Fairy Flower. They succeeded, brought it to the hospital, and got Flabébé and Florence back together. Florence was genuinely grateful as they headed out to continue their journey.
