Hector is known as the Warlock of Melancholy, a figure from the age of the Witches whose actual historical record is oddly sparse. He's best remembered for hunting down Echidna, the Witch of Greed, tracking her to the Sanctuary itself. When he found her, he quickly disposed of her apprentice Roswaal A Mathers before facing Echidna in direct combat—though what actually happened in that fight remains a mystery.
What's really strange is that despite these significant events, Hector's name was essentially erased from history. Whether he lost that final battle, disappeared, or something else happened entirely, nobody really knows.
