Yuujirou Someya is a junior high school student with a passion for kabuki—or at least, he used to be. He grew up around the stage, training under his father, a kabuki actor, with dreams of performing professionally himself. When he didn't get chosen as his father's successor, though, that dream basically fell apart. Rather than give up on performance entirely, Yuujirou figured he'd try something different and auditioned to become an idol instead. It's a pretty big shift from classical theater to the idol world, but he's banking on finding his place there.
