Hearts and his twin brother Phi grew up together in Dread Tower as royal children, though Hearts constantly battled feelings of inadequacy—convinced he'd never measure up to his older sibling. Everything changed when their father sent them a gift through the family butler: two custom Beyblades, Dead Hades and Revive Phoenix. Hearts snatched up Hades without hesitation, which didn't go over well with Phi. The older twin expected first dibs on principle, and when Hearts refused to budge, things escalated fast. That argument fractured their bond in a way neither recovered from. While Hearts remained at Dread Tower, Phi took off on what became his obsessive crusade to destroy people's Beyblades.
