Chi is a scrappy mackerel-striped kitten who gets taken in by the Yamada family after losing her mother. She's basically learning the world from scratch—discovering the good stuff like sushi and the less fun stuff like trips to the vet. Along the way, she befriends a larger cat who fills that maternal role she's missing.
What makes Chi stand out is her personality. She's stubborn as they come and loves to play, but she's also incredibly affectionate and vocal about it. That last part is actually a problem since, well, pets aren't allowed in the Yamadas' apartment complex. So Chi's got to keep a low profile, which anyone who knows her can tell you is easier said than done.
