An NPC created by Akira Oono in Maou-sama, Retry!, Akane is basically the opposite of the protagonist Ren—while he's all calm and measured, she's basically human sunshine. Fans often describe her as kind of an airhead who acts without thinking things through, which honestly matches her personality pretty well. She's a serious otaku, totally into anime, manga, and games. The running joke is that if she ever found out she was actually living in a parallel world, she'd probably be thrilled about it rather than freaked out.
