Dorami is Doraemon's younger sister—and yes, they're related because they literally drank from each other's oil cans. What's funny is that despite being siblings, she's actually sharper and more competent than her brother. The reason? She runs on oil from the lower part of their shared can, which contains more nutrients than the top portion Doraemon uses.
She's got a distinctive look: bright yellow with an adorable face, a tiny nose, and a red bow perched behind her head. Dorami was manufactured on December 2nd, 2114, about two years after Doraemon came into existence.
Throughout the series, she tends to show up whenever Doraemon needs backup or wants to show off some new gadget. Like her brother, she's got her own quirks—she loves Melon Pan and absolutely can't stand cockroaches (whereas Doraemon's the one freaked out by mice and rats). Looking ahead to the next generation, she's set to develop a romantic relationship with Dora the Kid.
