Toru Amuro
A sharp young detective working the Tokyo police force. He's partnered with the seasoned veteran Yasui, who serves as the experienced hand to Amuro's keener instincts. The dynamic between them drives a lot of the early tension in the series—Amuro's got the drive and intuition, but he's still learning the harder lessons Yasui knows by heart.
