Jail Marginal
Jail is the rightful heir to the Kingdom of Marginal, though he never got the chance to rule. His father, King Cyrano Marginal, died before passing the crown to him. Instead, Jail's uncle Roxxane seized the throne and immediately turned against his nephew—likely to eliminate any threat to his own claim. Violet joined Roxxane in hunting Jail, forcing him into hiding or exile depending on the version of events.
The situation made Jail a fugitive in his own kingdom, which has defined much of his story. Whether he eventually reclaimed his rightful place or remained in exile varies by source material, but his status as the displaced heir is central to who he is.
