Master Pharaoh 90 is a massive alien entity from the Tau Ceti Star System, though little else about its origins is known. It manifests as nothing more than a huge black sphere covered in tentacles.
The creature's motivations differ between versions. In the manga, it wants to merge with Earth and colonize it as its own world. The anime takes a darker approach—Pharaoh 90 simply seeks to destroy the planet by triggering the Silence. Either way, the creature is cunning enough to manipulate Professor Tomoe by exploiting his desperation to save his dying daughter. Pharaoh 90 gives Tomoe the daimon egg that becomes Mistress 9, but the real scheme is crueler than it appears: Mistress 9's only purpose is to serve as a vessel, one that can open a dimensional portal for Pharaoh 90 itself to enter Earth.
Its defeat varies by continuity. In the anime, Sailor Moon and Sailor Saturn destroy it outright. The manga opts for a slower end—Saturn drives it back to Tau Ceti, where Sailor Pluto seals it away for good.
Like the other major villains in the manga storyline, Pharaoh 90 is eventually unmasked as an incarnation of Chaos, the series' true final antagonist.
