Kiyomasa comes across as hot-headed and rowdy, but his loyalty to Hideyoshi and Nene is absolute. He views Hideyoshi practically as family, which explains why he's so tight with Masanori and Mitsunari—they're essentially brothers to him. Among the three, he's the one who keeps things grounded, constantly trying to rein in Masanori's scattered brain and push back against Mitsunari's arrogance. He's got solid judgment and sticks to his convictions stubbornly, refusing to cave to anyone. This actually gets him into it with Mitsunari before Sekigahara. They respect each other enough to call each other "fool" on friendly terms, but their shared stubbornness makes them clash hard.
His feelings toward Nene are complicated. While he genuinely sees her as a maternal figure, he's also got romantic feelings for her—and he's not shy about it. Nene either doesn't pick up on it or just ignores his confessions, which probably says something about how she handles the situation. Both Mitsunari and Masanori think his crush is pretty weird.
Beyond his core group, Kiyomasa has respect for Muneshige as a warrior, calling him the greatest in the west. After Hideyoshi dies, he works with Kanbei, but that partnership's rocky. He gets frustrated that Kanbei brushes off his former loyalty to the taikou without much thought, and the two never really see eye-to-eye.
