Class seat number: 18
Kirara Hazama is a student in class 3-E. She's got a slender build, messy shoulder-length black hair, and thick eyelashes that give her a naturally gloomy appearance. She originally hung around with Terasaka's crowd and wasn't thrilled about Koro-sensei joining the class—though she was probably just going along with what Terasaka thought at the time.
Early on, Hazama kept to herself, but she gradually opened up as the series went on. When tasked with writing a play for the class, she crafted something intentionally dark and depressing, which she took genuine pride in—the rest of the school lost their appetites over it. Her classmates actually had a blast anyway. She's also surprisingly thoughtful; when Kimura complained about his name, she sympathized and explained that her own mother lives in a fantasy world and named her Kirara after the sparkly sound effect. Problem is, her mom's hysterical personality made for a rough childhood, so Hazama never grew up cute to match the name.
She's a devoted reader who'd rather sit somewhere quiet with a book than participate in summer swimming. At career counseling, she told Koro-sensei she wanted to work somewhere surrounded by books. Her literary taste bleeds into how she talks—she tends toward artistic, sometimes poetic expressions. On the weirder side, she's into curses and intentionally spooking people. She's been doing it casually since childhood and apparently earned the unofficial title "Miss Test of Courage Japan Representative."
Athletically and in assassination training, she's nothing special, but she's solid with marksmanship (tied 3rd place among the girls with Rio Nakamura) and academics, finishing 18th on the school-wide final exams.
